| The Texas Chapter of the RMFMA is proud to announce the nominees for Chapter Officers. Texas Chapter Fleet Members will be voting for Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer this year. For more questions regarding the voting, please contact 800-667-6362. | | | Candidates for Vice-Chair | | | Terry Anglin Fleet Services Director City of Garland, Texas Terry Anglin is going on his tenth year of municipal government experience - responsible for entire maintenance and repair of more than 1,800 units at three shop facilities. He also has 28 years of private utility fleet experience at Lone Star Gas Company, including alternative fuel technology development, engine research and development, CNG and LNG conversions, CNG fueling stations, and has been accountable for public and private operational and replacement budgets. Terry specializes in specification development; LNG and CNG engine research and development; CNG station maintenance; truck up-fitting equipment and sales; chassis and dynamometer service; equipment replacement purchases; paint and body shop; and has worked as a shop floor supervisor; and mechanic. His technical training includes: Lincoln Technical Institute (Dallas); Executive Excellence at UTD; Texas Railroad Commission CNG Management, Stage 2 and Stage 3 (Austin); CNG Training - Texas Railroad Commission (Austin); GFI CNG Training - Stewart & Stevenson (Colorado); Refrigerant Recovery Training - ICMA (Dallas); and various management and supervisory courses. Terry is a member of the Automotive Advisory Board for Education, Eastfield College, Dallas; Fire Department Safety Officer's Association; Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association; Solid Waste Association of North America; and the American Public Works Association; in 2009 competed with 31 others in the country for Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year. Wade Looney Automotive Service Coordinator City of Wichita Falls, Texas Wade Looney has been with the City of Wichita Falls since 1996 and began his career with the City as an automotive technician. He currently supervises 11 employees and is responsible for scheduling preventive maintenance on automotive and heavy equipment. Other responsibilities include Parts, fuel, lubricants and stock ordering, inventory control, employee evaluations, interviewing prospective employees, establishment of work priority, customer relations with other departments, state vehicle inspections, inspection of For Hire Vehicles, automotive repair and installation of public safety equipment, records keeping, and training new employees. Prior to working at the City of Wichita Falls, Wade was a shop manager at a retail repair facility and worked in sales and service at a fleet industry supplier. He holds many certificates and diplomas in automotive repair including nine from ASE. In addition to his accomplishments in fleet, Wade is an EMT-B and volunteer firefighter. He has been a member of the Texas Chapter for several years. Wade is committed to family and has been married for more than 30 years. He has three daughters and eight grandchildren. | | | Candidates for Secretary | | Kenda Munoz Administrative Support Supervisor City of Garland, Texas Kenda currently has approximately 28 years of total municipal government experience. Twenty of these years were concentrated in municipal fleet management. During her tenure, Kenda has functioned in an administrative supervisor capacity for approximately 17 years and has served on many committees including: DFW Clean Cities Coalition, Clean Cities Coalition Legislative Subcommittee, Secretary to the Equipment Maintenance Council, United Way Committee, City of Plano Employee Benefits Advisory Board, Safety Olympics Team, Clean Air Advisory Team, etc. Kenda served as the Secretary for the Equipment Maintenance Council in the 1990’s; this group subsequently changed their name since her service. Kenda has received various training over the years, primarily in the following areas: MS Office applications, supervisory and leadership certification(s), quality improvement processes, fuel tank regulations, municipal purchasing regulations, emergency management response, various environmental issues relating to vehicle emissions and alternative fuels. She has completed business courses at Collin County Community College and Eastfield Community College. Kenda had the privilege of speaking at two Clean Cities Coalition Events and at the Texas Public Works Association Short Course. | | | Candidates for Treasurer | | | Tom Higgs Fleet Manager City of Conroe, Texas Tom Higgs is the Fleet Manager for the City of Conroe. Prior to his employment with the City, Mr. Higgs served in the US Army for 11 eleven years. His units achieved the Army Maintenance Excellence Award and the Department of Defense Maintenance Excellence Award. Since being employed with the City of Conroe, Mr. Higgs has implemented world-class fleet management practices, reorganized the City fleet, renamed the department, and become the first Fleet Manager. Tom is currently pursuing a Business Administration degree. He is a founding member of the Texas Chapter and the current Treasurer for the Texas Chapter. |
