Antifreeze has changed
dramatically and quietly in the last year. Not only
have our trusty nitrites been removed from
antifreeze blends used in some OE fills, but
nitrites can destroy new radiators and heater cores.
To help sort through the confusion, Clear
Choice is hosting a New Antifreeze Symposium. The
smart and entertaining Ed Eaton will be our guest
speaker. Mr. Eaton is the Chief Engineer of
Amalgatech, the renowned independent antifreeze
research, development, and testing laboratory.
Mr. Eaton also serves as Vice-Chair of the D-15
Committee on Engine Coolants and chairs the ASTM
D15.09 Subcommittees for Simulated Service Testing
(in addition to a host of other credentials). The
good news is that he is able to present complex
concepts in a way that makes them understandable,
with useful practical recommendations.
