2010 RMFMA Colorado Chapter Scholarship Program

The Colorado Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) is proud to announce our 2010 scholarship program. The total dollar amount that we have to award is $10,000. We feel that this will assist many of our members in furthering their education. Scholarships are awarded for the advancement of education in automotive technology, fleet management and fleet certification.
 

The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the advancement of the fleet management industry. To apply for a scholarship applicants must complete all sections of the application and submit to the address the deadline dates.

  RMFMA SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES  
  A.) Scholarship value: various increments depending on the member.
  B.) Application deadline: June 2, 2010
  C.) Scholarships will be awarded for continuing education courses, automotive education, fleet management and certification programs within the State of Colorado:
   
a.) Accredited community college.
b.) Automotive technical college.
c.) Accredited college or university.
d.) RMFMA Fleet Management Certification Program.
e.) RMFMA National Conference registration.
  D.) Scholarship funds may be utilized for:
   
a.) Tuition and school fees.
b.) Books required for course.
  E.) Scholarship award must be used:
   
a.) STUDENT - within one year from the date of the award letter.
b.) MEMBER - within two years from the date of the award letter.
  F.) Scholarship awards will be sent directly to the educational institution and require proof of registration, course names and an invoice issued by the institution.

  STUDENT REQUIREMENTS  
  A.) Employer must be an RMFMA member in good standing for the past 2 years and the apprentice or technician will be added to the membership.
  B.) Letter of recommendation from an automotive instructor or automotive field employer
  C.) Copies of any automotive related awards or certificates.
  D.) Letter of application and/or resume with the following information:
   
a.) Name, address, and contact phone numbers (home, work and email).
b.) Interests and hobbies.
c.) Jobs or outside activities related to automotive repair.
d.) Why you want or need the scholarship.
  MEMBER REQUIREMENTS  
  A.) Must be an RMFMA member in good standing for the past two years
  B.) Letter of application and/or resume with the following information:
   
a.) Name, address and contact phone numbers (home, work and email).
b.) Employer.
c.) Interests and hobbies.
d.) Jobs or outside activities related to the fleet industry.
e.) Reason for requesting scholarship.
f.) Career goals.
g.) Reason for choosing the automotive repair field.
  C.) Scholarship will reimburse fees associated with the RMFMA Certification Program; funds will be paid directly to the recipient upon completion of the program.
