Introduction

As consumers, we expect value and quality in the products we buy. So it is with our membership in the Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association. Truly we are consumers of the services and programs that the RMFMA has to offer.

What do we get for our membership dollars?

Membership Types

The RMFMA offers Regular and Associate membership options for fleet professionals and vendors who supply those fleets. If you are a fleet professional please see the Fleet Membership section. If you are a vendor, or supplier to fleet agencies please see the Associate Membership section.

Information Sharing

Perhaps the cornerstone of our operation is the information sharing that occurs at association conferences, chapter meetings, through our newsletter, web page and just day-to-day over the telephone. This networking helps us to pass on the main commodity of RMFMA and that is information helpful to each of us in the operation of our fleets in a cost effective, efficient manner.

Web Site

The RMFMA web site allows you to apply for membership online, find out about chapter personnel and activities gives you fleet related Internet resources, details of the Fleet Certification Program, Fleet Manager Certification, scholarships, as well as information about upcoming conferences. It has an online bulletin board where, as a member, you can participate in fleet management related questions and answers and solicit advice and ideas from experience fleet managers. It is a functional, informative, dynamic way to keep in touch with the RMFMA.

Newsletter

The RMFMA newsletter, Rocky Mountain Fleet News contains a wide range of information. In any given issue you may find articles dealing with pending environmental and legislative actions, fleet profiles, budgeting tips and other information useful to operating a cost effective shop.

Fleet Certification

The RMFMA is in partnership with Fleet Counselor Services, Inc. to offer fleet member organizations an opportunity to obtain, at a discount, an independent fleet appraisal and evaluation leading to Certification as a World Class Fleet Operation.

Fleet Manager Certification

In cooperation with Kelly Walker Associates, RMFMA offers a three-tiered Certified Fleet Manager Program designed to meet the needs of fleet professionals at all levels of the public fleet operation.

Legislative Oversight

Within the chapter organizations there are members who routinely track and review legislative actions pending for their impact on fleet operations. This information is then shared, either directly over the phone, through newsletters or at the various chapter meetings.

Environmental Issues Review

Within each chapter of the organization and at the association level, there are members who are well versed in environmental issues and the potential impact on our operations. This information is shared through the various means mentioned in "legislative oversight".

Managerial Support

Regardless of what the managerial or operational problems you're encountering, you can bet that one of your RMFMA colleagues has faced the same or similar situation. Their assistance is available through the various communication opportunities.

Maintenance Trends

Through different experiences based upon vehicle ownership and operation, members can network with colleagues to talk about the various issues specific to maintenance of certain vehicles and pieces of equipment.

Industry Updates

Through the participation of Associate members, we have the good fortune of being made aware on a routine basis of things occurring within the industry in the way of improvements and new developments in the products services and equipment that we use in maintaining our fleets.

Technical Support

Through Associate members, we easily find assistance with solutions to problems of a technical nature.

Fleet Membership

Regular Members are people actively engaged in or closely allied to the maintenance, supervision and/or management of an organization's fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Associate Membership

Associate Members are people whose organizations are actively engaged in providing services an/or products used in the maintenance, supervision, or management of the fleet. Associate members keep us informed on the latest innovations and product developments.

Small Fleet Membership $55

Just because your fleet is small doesn't mean that you can't benefit from being a member of the RMFMA. To qualify for this membership your fleet must consist of no more than 50 vehicles and under five employees. The $55 annual membership fee covers one member only.
